Kiln-fired in small batches

Mugs and bowls,shaped by hand.

Clayform is a one-person ceramics studio. Each piece is thrown, glazed, and packed by the same set of hands — no two are ever quite the same.

Our promise

What you can expect from every order.

We are a new studio — instead of borrowed reviews, here is exactly what we commit to.

Made by one potter

Every mug and bowl is thrown, trimmed, and glazed in our home studio.

Food-safe glazes

Lead-free, dishwasher and microwave safe — tested before listing.

Packed like art

Recycled kraft, wool wrap, hand-written card. Replace any breakage, free.

Ships in 5 days

In-stock pieces leave the studio within five business days of ordering.

In the kiln now

Fresh from this week's firing.

The process

Mud, water, fire, repeat.

Every Clayform piece passes through the same four-step ritual. It takes about two weeks from wedged clay to the box on your doorstep.

Tiny wobbles and finger marks are signatures, not defects.

  1. 01

    Throw

Stoneware is wedged by hand and thrown one piece at a time on the wheel. Each form is finished within the hour it began.

  2. 02

    Trim & attach

After a day of drying, foot-rings are trimmed and handles pulled, scored, and attached while the clay is still leather-hard.

  3. 03

    Bisque & glaze

A bisque fire to 1000°C, then dipped in our house glazes — oat, smoke, and river — mixed in 5-litre buckets.

  4. 04

    Glaze fire & ship

A final 1240°C fire vitrifies the clay. Pieces are inspected, signed, wrapped in wool, and boxed for travel.

Next firing

Bring a piece of the studio home.

Batches are small and they sell through. Claim a mug, a bowl, or a matched set before the next kiln opens.
